COVID 19 Update

We are very concerned about the health and welfare of our patients, their families and our team, so in light of the ongoing pandemic, we will be implementing some changes to the schedule and the normal way we accommodate patients and their families in our office.

Our office remains open with a reduced schedule to see patients as needed. However, Governor Inslee has mandated (as of 3/19/2020) that all elective surgeries and non essential procedures be delayed, so if you have an upcoming procedure of any type or surgery, we will be contacting you to reschedule. Rest assured that we will work hard to get everyone accommodated once we are cleared to resume normal operations.

Following are some updates to our clinic operations to give everyone peace of mind while in our office... In addition to the universal precautions and sterilization protocols that we use routinely as set by the CDC for medical practices and those mandates that we have always been following as a State Licensed Surgery Facility, we will change the waiting room setting to offer additional hand sanitizer, removal of magazines, and utilize the other seating in our clinic to avoid close contact with mutual patients.

We are also ensuring that if any of our team is experiencing any symptoms or fevers, they will stay at home for the requisite quarantine period.

We are kindly asking our patients to assist us in reducing risk of corona virus exposure. We are working quickly to maximize our responses for the safety and well-being of our patients, your families, and our team. We are following ever-evolving recommendations from the CDC, Washington State Department of Health and Pierce County Health Department.

  • Patients only permitted in our clinical treatment areas, please.
  • Minimize the number of people in our office. Refrain from bringing friends, siblings and other family members to the appointments or plan for them to stay in the car.
  • Anyone showing flu-like symptoms or if you are sick or have a fever or cough, we will need to postpone the appointment to be rescheduled. Please call and we will reschedule you.
  • If anyone in your circle of family and friends has traveled outside the U.S. or had contact with folks who have, please inform us.
  • Please don’t use your cell phone in the clinic area or during your appointment, though you can use it to make your next appointment prior to leaving. Phones can be dirty and we encourage you to pay attention to this, both here and in your personal life and it should be wiped down with disinfectant periodically.

IMPORTANT: We will triage all of our patient appointments as to need and severity. We may contact currently scheduled appointments to reschedule to later dates as we try to limit patient traffic in the office. We appreciate your understanding during the difficult time.

RESCHEDULING: If required, we may be rescheduling patients to future appointments, dependent upon each person’s specific needs, as determined by Dr.Potyondy and as we learn more about the evolution and progression of the COVID-19 virus. We will try to contact you before your appointment if there will be a change. If you have not heard from our office, then you can assume your appointment will be kept. If you want to confirm this, please feel free to call us anytime. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and assistance in our concerned efforts to make our office environment safe for everyone.
